Priyajit Mondal
Research Associate – Microbiologist, FTSI, TCG CREST
Priyajit Mondal is an accomplished Microbiologist with extensive research experience in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Virology. He has been pursuing his Ph.D. in Microbiology from The University of Burdwan since 2019, building a strong foundation in both fundamental and applied research. Alongside his doctoral studies, he has contributed over one year two months extensively to public health and molecular diagnostics through his roles as a Molecular Biologist in a Covid RT-PCR laboratory and as a Research Assistant at the DHR-ICMR Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), Burdwan Medical College. His work there played a vital part in advancing viral diagnostics and surveillance during critical times.
A testament to his dedication and expertise, Priyajit has qualified prestigious national-level exams multiple times, including the CSIR-UGC NET (Life Sciences), GATE (Life Sciences – securing AIR 56 and AIR 22 in consecutive years), WBSET (Life Sciences), and ICAR-NET (Agricultural Microbiology). He has authored ten research papers published in respected international journals and continues to engage actively with the scientific community through workshops, science congresses, and over ninety-five online courses and webinars. Priyajit recently completed a four-credit online course on ‘Food Microbiology and Food Safety’ from the Central University of Haryana, further expanding his knowledge at the intersection of microbiology and food technology.
In his current role at TCG CREST’s FTSI, Priyajit works as a Research Associate – Microbiologist, applying his expertise to advance research in Food Science, Microbiology, and Food Technology. He is dedicated to contributing innovative solutions and scientific knowledge to the field of food safety and technology.
