Kaustav Ghosh
PhD Student, CQuERE
Kaustav Ghosh, a Ph.D. student at TCG CREST, works in the Quantum Defects–Photonics Lab with Dr. Tanmoy Basu, where he turns “defects” in diamond into powerful tools for nanoscale magnetometry, sensing, and single-photon sources.
His journey began with a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Calcutta and an M.Sc. in Instrumentation Science from Jadavpur University. Before diving into NV centers, Kaustav helped set up a superconducting qubit lab at CQuERE, TCG CREST.
When not aligning beams or chasing photons, one can find Kaustav tuning into his age-old Spotify playlists.
