Aditya Banerjee

Visiting Scientist, CQuERE

Aditya obtained his PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics from the Harish-Chandra Research Institute in Allahabad under the aegis of the Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai. After postdoctoral stints at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (Chennai), Racah Institute of Physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) and Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (Kolkata), he joined CQuERE as a Visiting Scientist in July, 2025.
His research interests are primarily focused on the areas of equilibrium and non-equilibrium quantum many-body physics and its interface with quantum information and computation, quantum algorithms which are based on or leverage quantum many-body physics towards their intended applications, the quantum-classical boundary from the computational and informational points of view, and the real-space renormalization group framework and its interface with topological, operator-theoretic and information-theoretic perspectives and methods.
