Mr. Bharath Kumar Reddy completed his Masters in Biotechnology from Garden City University, Bangalore in 2011. Thereafter, he joined Advanced Neuroscience Allies Pvt. Ltd. (ANSA).,where heworked on mesenchymal stem cells from different sources like bone marrow, perinephric fat, umbilical cord and Wharton’s jelly under cGMP conditions. In 2013, he joined Bhat Biotech India (P) Ltd., which gave him an exposure to the production and purification of monoclonal and poly clonal antibodies.2015 onwards, heworked at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (InStem) and National Centre for Biological sciences (NCBS).His interests include neuroscience, in vitro modeling using stem cells and cellular and molecular approaches to understand neurodevelopmental disorders such as -Fragile X Syndrome.
Currently at CHINTA, TCG CREST he is focused on a neurodegenerative disorder Spinocerebellar ataxia using human stem cell models. Using this, he intends to identify potential therapeutic approaches for such neurodegenerative diseases.
