Nishanth Baskaran

Computational Research Fellow

A computer simulation enthusiast, Nishanth Baskaran did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (2018) and Masters at Tokyo Institute of Technology (2021) with a graduate major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Mathematical and Computing Science. During his stay in Tokyo, he worked on projects to simulate elastoviscoplastic flow and elastoplastic fracture using supercomputers. His current research involves developing quantum-friendly algorithms for climate science applications in collaboration with Dr. Swadhin K. Behera (Director of Application Lab at JAMSTEC).
