Abstract: Indifferentiability security captures the ideal model of construction, such as random oracle model for hash function, ideal cipher model for a block cipher, and so on. In this talk, we first describe definitions of variants of indifferentiability and relationships among these. Then we discuss some popular constructions and mention different attacks on those.  In particular, we will aim to discuss MD Hash, iterated hash, Luby-Rackoff Permutation, Key alternating cipher, and cascade cipher.
