The Materials Research Society of India has selected Professor Satish Ogale, Director of Research Institute of Sustainable Energy (RISE), TCG CREST and emeritus faculty at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune for the prestigious CNR RAO PRIZE LECTURE IN ADVANCED MATERIALS for the year 2021. The prize is presented annually to eminent scientists for their contributions in the field.
The award was presented to Professor Ogale at the Annual General Meeting of the MRSI held online (organized by IIT, Madras) during December 20-23, 2021. Speaking at the lecture, he said many unexplored areas in material sciences and energy had the potential for wide applications in the mobility sector.
