We are inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the prestigious Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded project titled:
“Mathematical Aspects of Quantum Error Correction.”
Location: TCG CREST – Institute for Advancing Intelligence (IAI), Kolkata
Expected Joining: July–August 2025
Who should apply?
Candidates with a strong background in any of the following areas :
- Pure Mathematics (Functional Analysis, Topology, Algebra)
- Theoretical Physics (with strong mathematical foundations)
Eligibility:
- Sc. in Mathematics or M.Sc. in Physics with a strong mathematics background
- Final-year students expecting to graduate in 2025
Research Focus:
- Operator algebraic formulations of quantum codes
- Structure of GKP and cat codes
- Connections to geometry and topology
