IAI, TCG CREST invites applications from Indian as well as Foreign nationals to the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor at IAI, TCG CREST (www.tcgcrest.org/institutes/iai/) from exceptionally bright and highly motivated candidates with an established record of independent, high-quality research and commitment to teaching in the area of Mathematics and/or Computer Science. Candidates having expertise in Cryptology and Security, Quantum Information, Mathematical and Statistical Applications, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are encouraged to apply at the earliest. We are also open to explore topics in the broad areas of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science.
The Institute provides support to cover relocation expenses for a new faculty member and provides generous startup funding for setting up unique and internationally competitive research programs in line with the best laboratories in the world. In addition, the Institute provides support to meet the expenses for participating in international and national conferences and paying the membership fee of various professional bodies and contingent expenses.
Minimum Qualifications for Faculty Positions
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record in all preceding degrees. In addition, for:
Professor: 10 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
Associate Professor: 6 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Assistant Professor: 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience after the completion of the Ph.D. As always exceptional candidates deserve special consideration and the requirement of 3-year postdoctoral experience may be waived.
If selected, a candidate is expected to contribute to (i) teaching courses at the IAI, (ii) supervising research fellows, and (iii) taking up research projects with external funding along with performing original research. The level of appointment will be determined by the credentials.
