Making Sense of Chaos: Data Science for Complex Systems
Dr. Anirban Chakraborti is Professor at the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Calcutta, a Ph.D. from the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (Jadavpur University), and a Habilitation (HDR) from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris.
He has over two decades of academic experience and has held positions at institutions including Banaras Hindu University and Ecole Centrale Paris, along with postdoctoral research at Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA) and Helsinki University of Technology (Finland). He has also served in leadership roles such as Registrar at JNU and Dean at BML Munjal University.
His research spans econophysics, sociophysics, complex systems, and data science, with additional contributions in quantum physics and nanomaterials. He is a recipient of the Indian National Science Academy Young Scientist Medal (2009) and was elected Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) in 2023.
