Dr. Bimal Mandal

Dr. Bimal Mandal completed his Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Jadavpur University in 2012 and Ph.D. degree in Mathematics form Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2018. He has been working as a visiting scientist in the R C Bose Centre for Cryptology and Security, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata from August, 2017 to October, 2018. He worked as a Post Doctoral fellow in the Cryptology, arithmetic: algebraic methods for better algorithms (CARAMBA) team, National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA), France for more than a year and in the Department of Computer Sciences and Networks (INFRES), Telecom Paris, France for one year. He also worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

His research interests include cryptographic Boolean functions and cryptanalysis of block and stream ciphers. He has published more than 15 papers in reputed journals and conferences in the area of cryptography. Please refer to his DBLP for the full list of publications.
