- More than 30 years of experience in teaching and research in several areas like Descriptive Set Theory, Recursion Theory, Automata and cellular automata,DNA computing, Simple Voting Games and in Cryptography.
- Visited many universities and institute like, University of Paris, Max Plank Institute, University of Kyushu, University of Western Australia etc
- Taught for a year at University of Miami, Coral Gables
- Was HOD of Stat-Math Unit, ISI;
- Acting Head R. C. Bose Centre for Cryptology and Security;
- Coordinator/Joint Coordinator of Regional Math Olympiad, Eastern Region for several years
